Great sessions. Great keynotes. Great conference!
Uplinq 2011 boasted an extraordinary lineup of heavy hitters
As promised, the Uplinq® 2011 Conference, hosted by Qualcomm June 1 & 2, 2011, brought the leaders in mobile apps and data services together for two days of business meetings and networking, educational sessions, demos and discussions. And a blockbuster closing party!
Qualcomm Chairman and CEO Dr. Paul Jacobs opened the conference on Wednesday June 1 with his address on "Mobile Computing – The Next Great Frontier." He was joined on stage by executives from Creative Artists Agency, Dreamworks, Namco and Sony Ericsson. Then Jon Rubinstein, who heads up HP's Palm Global Business Unit, and journalist Kevin Maney chatted about HP’s plans for webOS.
Peter Chou, CEO of HTC, gave the opening keynote on day two of the conference, sharing HTC’s plans to launch a site for developers. He was followed by an address from Nokia CEO Stephen Elop, who made a compelling case for Nokia’s decision to commit to Windows® Phone.
