Q: What is the Uplinq 2010 Conference?
A: a new conference hosted by Qualcomm designed to bring together mobile developers and key players in the wireless ecosystem for the advancement of mobile applications, services and devices.
Q: When and where is the Uplinq 2010 Conference being held?
A: Uplinq 2010 is being held at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, California from June 30 - July 1, 2010.
Q: Who attends Uplinq 2010?
A: Executives, managers, engineers and programmers from publisher, developer, content provider, wireless service operator, device manufacturer and technology provider companies as well as industry press and analysts.
Q: How much does it cost to attend the event?
A: Registration fees are $375 USD. Attendees who register prior to May 4, 2010 will receive a special incentive for registering during our Early Bird timeframe.
Q: What does my registration include?
A: Your Uplinq 2010 registration includes two full days of sessions, product demos, breakfast, lunch, snacks, admission to Wednesday night's welcome reception, Thursday night's Qfest celebration, as well as discounted room rates at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.
Q: What can attendees expect to see and hear at the conference?
A: As an evolution of Qualcomm's Brew Conference, Uplinq will cover the Brew Mobile Platform (Brew MP) operating system, distribution opportunities available through the Plaza Retail solution, as well as the vibrant Brew ecosystem, which fostered the creation of one of the first mobile application stores. Uplinq 2010 will also benefit wireless developers working on other leading mobile operating systems and application platforms, including Android, Flash, Java and Microsoft's® Windows Phone 7 Series.
Q: What is Qfest?
A: Qfest is the exclusive Uplinq 2010 Conference party for attendees. Enjoy delicious cuisine, network with associates and dance the night away to live music. Only registered attendees will be allowed into this special event.
Q: Can I bring my significant other or a guest to Qfest or the Welcome Reception?
A: Yes, but you need to buy them a guest pass for each event you would like them to attend. They can purchase these tickets using our registration site beginning in March.
Q: Will presentations and videotapes of the conference be available afterwards?
A: Presentation slides, video and audio recordings of select sessions will be available on the Uplinq website once the conference has ended. Videotapes of the conference sessions will not be available.
Q: Will there be simultaneous translation services at the conference?
A: The conference sessions will be conducted in English only.
