  • What is the Uplinq 2013 conference?

    Uplinq is a wireless ecosystem conference, hosted by Qualcomm, that provides a cross-platform view of how to exploit the complete hardware-software system in today’s wirelessly connected devices to produce the most compelling user experiences.  As computing continues to be redefined, Uplinq provides a view into where wireless technologies, products and services are heading, and the business connections essential to making money.

  • Who will be attending Uplinq 2013?

    Mobile developers and publishers constitute the largest portion of the Uplinq audience.  Other participants include business decision makers from component suppliers, device manufacturers, technology providers, wireless network operators, third-party OS providers, press and industry analysts.

  • How should I dress for Uplinq?

    Conference attire will be casual and comfortable. Please note that San Diego weather can be warm during the day and cool at night. Find up-to-date weather information at Weather Underground.

  • When and where is Uplinq 2013 being held?

    The conference will be held Sept. 3-5 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. Uplinq's Mobile CodeFest & Hackathon for coders, and Hardware Day for component suppliers happens on Sept. 3. The opening Uplinq general session is Sept. 4 and the conference closes with the Q on Fifth street party the evening of Sept. 5.

  • What does my registration include?

    Your Uplinq 2013 registration includes attendance at all conference sessions, including the opportunity to participate in the Mobile CodeFest & Hackathon, and Hardware Day (while space lasts), the opportunity to participate in Market Match, access to the Mobile Innovations Showcase, all conference meals, the Welcome Reception and Q on Fifth, as well as discounted room rates at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront and special offers on car rental and domestic U.S. airfares.

  • How much does it cost to attend the event?

    The full registration fee is $375 USD. 

  • Whom should I contact for more conference information?

  • I’m traveling from outside the U.S. Where can I get a visa letter regarding my Uplinq attendance?

    You can receive a visa letter by email or fax by sending a request to uplinqinfo@qualcomm.com.

  • I’m a reporter interested in attending and talking to Qualcomm and industry execs at Uplinq. Who should I contact?

  • Will there be simultaneous translation services at the conference?

    The conference sessions will be conducted in English only.

  • Will presentations and video of the conference be available afterwards?

    Presentation slides and video recordings of select sessions will be available on the Uplinq 2013 Schedule page once the conference has ended.

  • What is Q on Fifth?

    It’s the Big Party that closes Uplinq 2013 on Sept. 5. It is exclusively for conference attendees and their guests. Enjoy delicious cuisine, network with associates and dance the night away to live music.

  • Can I bring my significant other or a guest to Q on Fifth or the Welcome Reception?

    Q on Fifth is sold out.
