Meet your dedicated bookkeeper
How ongoing bookkeeping works after onboarding — your point of contact, monthly cadence, and communicating in-app.
After onboarding, your dedicated bookkeeper or bookkeeping team becomes your main day-to-day path for bookkeeping questions, monthly close context, and report questions. Use the contact path shown in Uplinq when it is available, and answer task-specific requests inside the related task.
When the handoff happens
During onboarding, your team is focused on setup, access, catch-up work, and getting your books into a usable starting point.
After your account is ready for ongoing bookkeeping, Uplinq introduces your ongoing bookkeeper or bookkeeping team. The exact timing can vary by account, especially if Uplinq is still waiting on documents, transaction answers, or bank connections.
What your bookkeeper helps with
Your bookkeeper is the right place to start for questions like:
- "Is this month finalized?"
- "Why did this report change?"
- "Can you review this category?"
- "What is still needed from me?"
- "How should I explain this transaction?"
- "Can you confirm whether this document was enough?"
If the question is tied to a specific file request or transaction question, answer inside that task first. That keeps the context attached to the work.
What Uplinq may still ask you for
Even after onboarding, Uplinq may ask for help when source data is missing or a transaction needs business context.
Common requests include:
- missing bank or credit card statements;
- bank reconnects;
- payment processor or payroll reports;
- transaction answers;
- receipts or purchase documents;
- notes about owner activity, loans, transfers, or unusual transactions.
Fast answers help your monthly work stay current.
How to ask a good bookkeeping question
Good questions include enough detail for Uplinq to find the issue:
| Include this | Example |
|---|---|
| Company or entity | "This is for the Arizona location." |
| Period | "June 2026 looks different than May." |
| Report or transaction | "The Meals line on the Profit & Loss (P&L)" or "the Stripe deposit on June 12" |
| What you expected | "I expected this to be software, not office expense." |
If the question is about charges, invoices, payment methods, or changing service, use the account or billing support path instead of your bookkeeping thread.
