Payment method
What to do when your card expires, a payment method changes, or billing support asks you to update payment details.
If your payment method needs to change, use the secure payment-update path your Uplinq team provides. Do not send full card or bank details in email, comments, or normal messages.
When to update payment details
Update your payment method when:
- a card expires;
- a card is lost, replaced, or compromised;
- a payment fails;
- your business changes the account used for Uplinq billing;
- billing support asks you to refresh payment details.
If a card was replaced, you may also need to reconnect that card in Data Hub if it is used for business transactions.
Use a secure update path
Payment details should be updated through a secure billing path, not typed into a normal message.
If you are not sure where to update it, contact your billing or account support path. Ask for the secure way to update payment details.
What to include when asking for help
You can safely include:
- company name;
- billing contact name;
- charge date or invoice number;
- the last few digits or nickname of the old payment method, if visible;
- what changed.
Do not include full payment details.
If a payment already failed
Update the payment method as soon as possible, then let billing support know. Ask billing support to confirm whether anything else is needed.
