Users and account access

What to do when an owner, teammate, CPA, or outside accountant needs access to Uplinq.

The short version

Only the right people should have access to your Uplinq account. If someone needs to be added, removed, or changed, contact your Uplinq team.

Include who they are, which company they need, and why they need access.

Who might need access

Depending on your business, access may be needed for:

  • owners;
  • finance or operations teammates;
  • a CPA or tax preparer;
  • an outside accountant;
  • an administrator who handles documents or billing;
  • a teammate who answers transaction questions.

Access should match the work that person needs to do.

What to include in an access request

When asking Uplinq to add or review access, include:

  • the person's name;
  • their email address;
  • their role or relationship to the business;
  • which company or entities they need;
  • what they need to do in Uplinq;
  • whether they should also receive billing or account messages.

Do not share another person's password or ask teammates to use one shared login.

When someone leaves or changes roles

Tell Uplinq when someone should no longer have access, especially if they handled finance, billing, documents, or transaction questions.

Include the person, company, and effective date. Uplinq can help route the access change.

External accountants and CPAs

If your CPA or outside accountant needs information, tell Uplinq what they need to review. They may need Uplinq access, QuickBooks Online access, reports, or exported documents depending on the request.
