Find uploaded files

How to check Data Hub for files, uploaded documents, and completed requests before uploading the same file again.

The short version

Before uploading the same document again, check Data Hub. A file may already be in Files, attached to a File Request, or marked as reviewed under a completed request.

Where to look first

Start in Data Hub for the company or entity the file belongs to.

Depending on your account, check:

  • File Requests for documents Uplinq specifically asked for;
  • Files for documents uploaded outside a specific request;
  • Banking & Credit Cards or Connections if the item is tied to an account connection;
  • the completed or pending request if you uploaded the file from a task link.

If you have more than one company, confirm the company context before deciding a file is missing.

How files can look different after upload

After upload, a file may not look exactly like it did on your computer. It may appear under a request, a document list, or a reviewed/completed status depending on how it was submitted.

That does not always mean the file is lost. It may mean Uplinq has already received it and is reviewing it.

When to upload again

Upload again when:

  • Uplinq asks for a clearer or more complete copy;
  • the file was uploaded to the wrong company or request;
  • the request still shows that Uplinq needs the document;
  • your Uplinq team tells you the file did not come through.

If you are not sure, add a note or contact your Uplinq team before uploading several duplicate copies.

What to include when asking for help

Include:

  • the company or entity;
  • the document name or type;
  • the approximate upload date;
  • whether you uploaded it through Files, File Requests, an email/task link, or another path;
  • the request or tab where you expected to see it.

Do not send sensitive login credentials or private account details in a normal message.
