What belongs in Data Hub

Use Data Hub for bank accounts, connections, files, file requests, third-party apps, and credentials.

The short version

Use Data Hub for source data: accounts, connections, uploaded files, file requests, third-party app requests, and credentials. If the work is about a transaction explanation, use Transactions instead.

What Data Hub is for

Data Hub is where Uplinq organizes the source material needed to keep your books complete. It helps your team see what has been connected, uploaded, requested, or still needs attention.

Depending on your account, Data Hub may include tabs such as:

  • Banking & Credit Cards;
  • Connections;
  • Files;
  • File Requests;
  • Third-Party Apps;
  • Credentials.

Some customers may see a slightly different tab set based on their setup.

File Requests vs. Files

Use File Requests when Uplinq asked for a specific document. A file request gives the document type, status, and context.

Use Files when you are uploading or reviewing documents generally. If you are not sure where a document belongs, use the request if one exists.

Connections vs. Credentials

Use Connections for bank or card connection work.

Use Credentials only when Uplinq has created a credential request for you. Do not send passwords or MFA codes in a normal message.

If you use more than one company

Check the company context before uploading a document or completing a request. A document for one company should not be uploaded under another company unless your Uplinq team tells you to.
