Why Uplinq may still need a bank or card statement, even when an account is connected.
Missing Statements means Uplinq needs an official statement for a specific account and period. A connected account can help transactions flow in, but statements may still be needed to confirm completeness, reconcile activity, or finish a period.
Where you may see Missing Statements
You may see Missing Statements on Home, in My Projects, or in Data Hub under Banking & Credit Cards or File Requests.
The request should tell you which account and period Uplinq needs. If it does not, ask your Uplinq team before uploading the wrong file.
Why statements can still be needed
Bank connections and statements do different jobs.
A connection can help Uplinq receive transaction data. An official statement can help confirm the full activity for a period, the beginning and ending balance, and whether anything is missing from the feed.
Uplinq may ask for statements when:
- a connection was added after the period started;
- a connection broke or stopped syncing;
- a card or account was replaced;
- a bank feed does not include all needed history;
- Uplinq needs to reconcile a catch-up or opening-balance period;
- the statement is needed for review, filing readiness, or finalization.
What to upload
Upload the official statement for the account and period requested. A good statement usually includes:
- the account name or last few digits;
- the statement period;
- beginning and ending balances;
- all pages of the statement;
- transaction detail for the period.
If you only have a screenshot or partial export, upload the best file you have and add a note so Uplinq knows what it is.
What happens after you upload
Uplinq reviews the statement and uses it to reconcile or confirm the period. The related request may move to a review status before it is marked complete.
