Home dashboard and task badges

What Home, My Tasks, badges, and counts mean when Uplinq needs something from you.

The short version

Badges and counts often point to something that may need review. Start on Home, check My Tasks, then open the area named by the task: Data Hub, Transactions, Payees, or My Projects.

What Home is for

Home is your quick status view. It can show tasks, project progress, financial snapshots, bank account status, and contact information for your Uplinq team.

Use Home when you want to answer one question: what needs my attention right now?

What My Tasks means

My Tasks is the action list for work that may need input from you. Depending on your account, it may include:

  • Respond to File Requests;
  • Complete Third-Party App Requests;
  • Answer Transaction Questions;
  • Transactions in Need of Review;
  • Upload Bank Statements;
  • bank connection or credential tasks such as Connect Banking Institutions, Fix Broken Banking Connections, or Complete Banking Credentials Requests.

If no tasks appear, it usually means Uplinq is not waiting on one of those items right now.

What badges and counts mean

A badge or count is a pointer, not a penalty. It helps you find the work that needs attention.

AreaWhat the count may point to
Data HubFile requests, missing statements, app requests, credentials, or connection issues.
TransactionsQuestions or unclear transactions that need your input.
PayeesPayees that may need W-9 or 1099-related review.
My ProjectsA larger workstream with tasks, due dates, or status changes.

Counts can change as Uplinq reviews files, updates tasks, or finishes work.

Why the same work can appear in more than one place

Home summarizes work from other areas. For example, a file request may appear as a Home task and also live in Data Hub. A transaction question may appear on Home and also live in Transactions.

That is normal. Home tells you something needs attention; the detail page is where you handle it.

What to do if a count looks wrong

Open the related area first and refresh the task list if needed. If the count still looks wrong, contact your Uplinq team and include:

  • the company you are viewing;
  • the area with the count;
  • what the count says;
  • what you expected to see.
