Multi-Entity Summary
What the multi-entity view is for, how to read it, and when to open a single company for more detail.
Multi-Entity Summary helps you see multiple companies or entities in one place. Use it for portfolio-level context, then open the individual company when you need detailed reports, transactions, tasks, or documents.
When you will see it
You may see Multi-Entity Summary if your Uplinq account includes more than one company, location, or entity.
If you only have one company with Uplinq, you may not see this view.
What it is for
Use Multi-Entity Summary to:
- compare companies at a high level;
- spot which entities need attention;
- review portfolio performance;
- see whether a company has unclear or open items;
- decide which entity to open next.
It is a summary view, not a replacement for each company's detailed reports and tasks.
When to open a single company
Open the individual company when you need to:
- answer transaction questions;
- upload a document for a specific entity;
- review a detailed Profit & Loss or Balance Sheet;
- check a bank connection;
- ask about a specific transaction or report line;
- confirm whether a period is finalized for that company.
Why numbers may differ across entities
Different entities may be at different stages. One company may be current while another is still waiting on statements, transaction answers, or cleanup work.
If portfolio-level numbers look uneven, check each company for open tasks before assuming the report is wrong.
What to include when asking about a multi-entity issue
Include:
- the entity or company name;
- the report, metric, or table you are looking at;
- the period;
- what looks wrong or unexpected;
- whether the issue appears in one entity or across multiple.
